The main products of Mykonos are the cheese called “kopanisti”, a spicy goat cheese that is perfect to have instead of a regular cheese in your breakfast or as a mid- day appetizer. The “louza” is a sausage made of pork with the addition of spices and pepper which is necessary to every real Mykonian lunch. Another delicious cheese made in Mykonos is tyrovolia with milder taste than kopanisti. As for a sweet bite, the amigdalota (made with almond and rose water) are the light desserts that you definitely have to taste. The seafood, of course, is the main “ingredient” of a traditional Mykonian dish where vegetables and meat play a significant part to the creation of the dishes.
